Karen Capote

Karen Capote is the founder of Daycation for Seniors in El Dorado Hills, a specialized senior day center dedicated to supporting individuals living with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia. Her passion for dementia care comes from personal experience, having spent six years as the full-time caregiver for her father during his journey with dementia. Through that experience, Karen gained firsthand understanding of the challenges families face, as well as the importance of compassion, patience, meaningful engagement, and caregiver support. She became the first franchisee of Daycation for Seniors, and opened in El Dorado Hills, to provide a safe, enriching, and joyful environment where seniors can socialize, stay active, and thrive while giving family caregivers much-needed peace of mind and respite.
